Marley Bassett is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina where she majors in mass communication with a minor in political science. Marley is an award-winning journalist having received awards at the school and state level for her news reporting, editorial writing, and newspaper design. Previously, Marley was the centennial editor-in-chief of The Johnsonian at Winthrop University and the summer marketing intern at Charleston County Parks and Recreation. In addition to being an intern at Watershed, she is also the summer news editor of The Daily Gamecock and a freelance reporter for The Lexington Chronicle.
